      Derivatives

The NSE launched derivatives market in July 2019 to become only the 2nd exchange in Sub-Saharan Africa to introduce derivatives market after South Africa’s JSE.

After the launch, there was initially a very slow uptake of the new instruments mainly due to lack of knowledge and awareness of the new market instruments!
